Advent Year A Here in Australia, Advent occurs during summer, when light and warmth are increasing. The hot, summer air, when it is clear of bushfire smoke, can sparkle and shimmer giving an almost ethereal quality to the daylight. Against this backdrop, we wait for the fulfillment of God’s promise in the birth of Jesus, Light of the world. |
